Selling you car online is an easy process, but you're bound to have some questions. Below is a list of frequently asked questions that may be able to help solve your query quickly.

What does it cost to sell my car?

Nothing, we charge no fees for our services.

Can you settle my finance?

No problem, if your finance settlement is lower than your cars value we can settle your finance agreement directly with the lender.

Can I sell my car if it has a cherished registration?

Yes, we can supply you with the relevant documentation to retain your cherished number and give you an indication of the change of value based on when the vehicle is then available.

What documents do I need to sell my car?

You require the following:

  • A current registration document (V5/C) showing you as the latest keeper
  • MOT Certificate (if applicable)

For security reasons we would require sight of photographic identification:

  • Passport or Driving License

Can I sell a car on behalf of someone else?

Yes, quite often family members will require to dispose of cars on behalf of bereaved relatives. Contact us direct and we will be pleased to discuss further.

I have recently taxed my car, do you refund the cost?

You can obtain a refund directly from the DVLA, we have forms at our branch.

How long does it take to sell my car and obtain payment?

Appointments are usually allocated on an hourly basis, but expect an average turnaround time of between 20 to 40 minutes. Payments are made by electronic transfer directly into your bank account, we use an instant payment system so expect to see the money in your account straight away.

Do valuations change or are they guaranteed?

Valuations will expire after 7 days or they may alter if a cars condition or history is below the expected average or that is described by the owner. In extreme cases when acute market conditions adversely affect values we may have to contact you before your appointment.

Do you buy company cars?

Yes, we treat these the same as privately owned vehicles. Obviously there are different criteria in relation to the purchase documentation. Please contact us for details.

Do you buy commercial vehicles?

Sorry no, we do not buy commercial vehicles.

I cannot find my year & plate when entering my vehicle details manually, will you still value my vehicle?

Yes. We have a very large database of makes, models, years and plates, but sometimes there may be one missing. Please contact us with your vehicle details and we'd be happy to value your vehicle manually.
